Installation photographique - Collectif Kahraba / Dar Onboz
Direction artistique : Rima Maroun, avec Elsie Haddad et Lara Tabet.
Suite à l’exposition “On fleeting grounds” à la Galerie Janine Rubeiz, la photographe Rima Maroun prend l’initiative de poursuivre le travail en l’axant sur le quartier des escaliers Vendôme. Deux autres photographes Lara tabet et Elsie Haddad sont invitées à la rejoindre pour créer une installation photographique qui s’inscrit dans la géographie du quartier: sur les façades, à travers les fenêtres, sur les murs d’enceintes, etc…
Depuis plus d’un mois, elles ont rencontré et interviewé les habitants du quartier et définissent leur démarche en confrontant l’intimité des voisins aux espaces extérieurs de cette ville en constante transformation.

Des chantiers démesurés creusent le sol, révèlent son histoire et accusent sa topographie. Ces excavations ponctuent la ville . Trous béants à coupure nette , trous si profonds qu'ils devoilent la mer.
Avant d'atteindre le ciel, les nouvelles tours vont toucher la mer et y fonder leurs sous-sols. L'accès à la mer pratiquement inexistant dans la ville devient tout à coup possible. Des piscines géantes à ciel ouvert se multiplient dans la ville.
Un plongeur, réjoui , profite de cette occasion.

Eight people and Eight rules - Clara Sfeir
Performance de danse contemporaine.
Danseurs : Romy Lynn Attieh, Alia Hamdan, Ghida Hashisho, Mohammad Khansa, Habib Rahmeh, Clara Sfeir, Mona Shaar, Corinne Skaff.
Musiciens : Maria Rijo Lopez da Cunha au violoncelle et Joss Turnbull à la percussion (Tunbak)
Cette performance est le résultat de trois semaines d’expérimentation proposé par Clara Sfeir avec huit danseurs et deux musiciens. Les danseurs ont défini un ensemble de règles qui tisseront différemment chaque soir les séquences chorégraphiées et les improvisations. Réunis sur un même terrain de jeu, danseurs et spectateurs vivront une expérience différente chaque soir, en fonction des choix.

La fête du pain - Twin Collective
Théâtre interactif jeune public ( à partir de 6ans).

Bolbol le porteur, transporte les marchandises entre le village Zakazik et la ville. Un jour un bel âne blanc l’a suivi et c’est ainsi qu’ils sont devenus amis. Arrive le jour de la fête au village, qui est une fête bien singulière à Zakazik. Le roi et toute sa cour décident de venir au village et de s’y installer pour la fête. Les habitants de Zakazik craignent alors de manquer de nourriture.
Qu'ont-ils fait? Qu'est-ce qu’ a fait Bolbol? Qu'est-ce qu’à fait Chayboub?

L'histoire d'un garçon de 8 ans, tenant son cœur dans ses mains. C'était pendant la guerre. Une des nombreuses guerres que Beyrouth a connu. Ce garçon est soudainement confronté à la mort de sa mère. Il s'embarque alors pour un voyage rempli d'épreuves et de douleurs.

« Pendu dans une toile d’araignée – le ciel de l’après-guerre ». Ma mère se souvient d’une ville qui ressemble à une carte postale. Je ne l’ai jamais connue. Je ne pars pas à la recherche du paradis perdu de ma mère. Je veux parler de mon sentiment de défaite quand je marche dans les ruelles de la ville, quand j’imagine les souvenirs démolis aux rythmes des bulldozers. Peut-être que si je rassemblais ces souvenirs je pourrais sauver ce qui reste de mon amour pour elle. La ville.

ABSOLUTES est un programme de trois solos.
Les interprètes sont séparés, isolés, chacun dans une bulle, chacun essayant d'atteindre l’achèvement, la perfection –l’absolu. Ce désir de la réalisation ultime de soi transforme chaque scène en gros plan sur trois individus faisant face au monde contemporain.
Soutenu par le Conseil Danois des Arts et la Fondation Wilhelm Hansen, ABSOLUTES a été créé au Liban en 2013. La performance dans "Nehna wel wel Amar Jiran 2013» est une première mondiale.

Violon et percussion
Deux voix, deux gestes qui improvisent une pensée du monde, le bruissement acoustique, le froissement électronique des instruments et de l’espace, dans une tentative de chorégraphie sonore.
“Le son que je cherche est une déflagration : on l’ébauche d’un geste de la main, elle enfle et grogne dans le crâne, s’y perd après explosion lente. Hanane Hajj Ali, citoyenne libanaise et actrice, d’une cinquantaine d’années, s’exerce au jogging pour se prévenir de l’obésité, de l’ostéoporose et de la dépression. Comme chaque matin, elle déambule dans la ville.
Les avantages de l'exercice sont complexes et contradictoires: elle stimule les niveaux de deux hormones dans le corps: la dopamine et l'adrénaline qui ont un double effet: un effet stimulant et constructif d'un destructeur en même temps, dans une ville qui détruit pour construire et construit pour détruire.

He surfaced from
the 7th layer of Beirut . Tucked in his arms, a clock, his babouj and plenty of
other orphaned objects. He mumbles things to herself. He mumbles and she

about a particular 8 year old boy who holds his heart in his hands .
It was during war
. One of the many wars that Beirut has seen. This boy is suddenly faced
with the death of his mother. He embarks on a journey filled with hardship and
pain as he tries to find a way to come to terms with his loss.

Bolbol the
deliveryman transports good between Zakazik village and the city. One day a beautiful white donkey followed him and
they became friends.
The day of the village festival has arrived, a
party especially particular to Zakazik. The king and his court decide to travel
to the village to attend the festival. The inhabitants of Zakazik fear they may
run out of food. What do they do? What does Bolbol do? What does Chayboub do?

" Eight People and Eight Rules" is a performance resulting from a three- week laboratory proposed by Clara Sfeir, involving eight dancers and two musicians.
The performers created a set of different rules on Who, How, and When a series of choreographed sequences and improvisations can be performed.
Gathered on a playground for three consecutive nights, the experience of both the performers and the audience will vary according to the way the game evolves based on the different choices made by the participants.

postwar sky"
My mother remembers a city that
looks like a postcard. I've never known it. I do not go looking for the lost
paradise of my mother. I want to talk about my feeling of defeat when I walk in
the streets of the city, when I imagine the memories of the people demolished
under the rhythms of bulldozers. Maybe if I gather all these memories I could
save what remains of my love for her. The city.

ABSOLUTES is supported by the Danish Arts Council and Wilhelm Hansen Foundation. It was created in Lebanon in 2013, the performance in “Nehna wel Amar wel Jiran 2013” is a world premiere.
ABSOLUTES is a program of three solos.
Performers are separated, isolated, each in a bubble, each attempting to reach completion, perfection- an absolute.
It is the abstract yearning for one’s unlimited and ultimate self that transforms the scenes into simple close-ups of three individuals trying to deal with the contemporary world.

Two voices, two gestures improvise one worldly idea, an acoustic rustle, the rustle of electronic instruments and space, in an attempt to sound choreography.
"The sound I'm looking for is a blast: it is drafted with a gesture of the hand, it swells and growls in the skull, gets lost after slow explosion. The sound I'm looking for is the idea of a short, spinning dance of taut skin excited by a stick, bone, palm or hammer on the bronze. " (François Bon, Forms of War, 2010).

A theatre performance that revolves around « Hanane Hajj Ali », the actress and the Lebanese citizen, in Beirut, 2011.
Hanane, a woman in her fifties, is practicing on stage the same usual physical exercises that she usually does in her daily life that help prevent obesity, osteoporosis and depression.
This routine allows her on one hand to communicate with her inner private space, and with the outer public space of the city.
The benefits of the workout are intricate and contradictory: it boosts the levels of two hormones in the body: the dopamine and the adrenaline that have double effect: a constructive stimulant and a destructive one at the same time, within a city that destroys to build and builds to destroy.

Yasmina and the band will offer a selection of interpretations of songs from Leyla Mourad to Sayyed Darwich, and Mohammad Munir, in addition to songs written and composed by Ziad Sahhab.
